The Clinton High School Head Football Coach is responsible for leading the high school football program in a manner that reflects the highest standards of conduct and CHS’s athletic mission and core values.

The ability to communicate well with various types of people, handle information appropriately, maintain a courteous, professional, and respectful attitude and integrity in all situations are prerequisites.

Support all school initiatives pertaining to the overall growth and development of Clinton High School student-athletes through high academic and behavioral standards.

Ability to develop and implement both an off-season and in-season plan that provides appropriate individual and team training, discipline, and coaching that leads to player development and a highly competitive program; evaluate individual student-athletes.

Work closely with assistant coaches to provide them with the appropriate training and education to assist in their development as a coach.

Collaborate with the Athletic Director in scheduling games and practices, fundraising, post season banquets, securing buses, etc.

Supervise student-athletes before and after practices / games.

Supervise all areas of participation including but not limited to gyms, fields, arenas, theater, locker or dressing rooms, buses, etc.

Attend all games (both home and away) continuing through the conclusion of any postseason tournament(s).

Set up facilities in preparation for practice, games, and events.

Other duties as assigned by Clinton High School administration.

Ability to exercise discretion and represent CHS with the utmost professionalism in confidential and sensitive student/family matters.

Maintain compliance with all rules and regulations of the TSSAA.
